LGU San Juan City Honors Palarong Pambansa Bemedalled Athletes

SDO San Juan winning athletes of the Palarong Pambansa held last April 27-May 4, 2019 at Davao City, visited the City Hall for a courtesy call to the supportive Mayor, Guia G. Gomez.


Due recognition was given to the following athletes: Sean Jonathan Tanco and Ryan Jacob Tanco of Xavier School for Archery; Maxine Angelique S. De Guzman and Jericho Dela Peńa of OB Montesori for Dancesports; Xiandi Chua of Immaculate Conception school and Keanne Cedric Ting of Xavier School for swimming. They were presented to the San Juan Local Government City officials and employees during their flag ceremony.


The said athletes bested around 17 participants in their respective categories which showed the kind of commitment that their trainers have for the love of sports. The record – breaking performance of those athletes from this Division in the Palarong Pambansa, with their 13 Golds, 4 silvers and 1 bronze contributed a lot for the NCR Team to be on top and gained its 15th year supremacy in the Palarong Pambansa 2019.

To show unwavering support, Councilor Paul Artadi promised to look into the City Ordinance regarding the incentives to be given to the winning athletes to inspire more learners to be engaged in sports.
