The partnership of DOST Pamamarisan and the Department of Education-San Juan brings a significant result for San Jualeňo students. Director Oscar Sevilla (DOST Pamamarisan) has been very supportive throughout the application of the students. They provided a review for student applicants on October 12, 2019, headed by Mr. JR Sebastian, Sr. (Science and Research Specialist) together with three DOST Scholars from the University of the Philippines, Los Banos, who served as the reviewers. Last year, before the conduct of the DOST review, only one student passed the examination.

At the school level, the efficient coordination of Ms. Evelyn Plaza (SHS Faculty) to the DOST Pamamarisan made the application of the students ran smoothly. Ms. Maricris T. Beren, former DOST scholar and Special Science teacher, collected all the requirements of students reviewed and submitted the application forms to the scholarship division of DOST-SEI. Also, she provided some useful tips on how to pass the examination. Apart from congratulating the successful qualifiers, Ms. Ma. Aileen B.
