WCES Empowers Learners through the Taekwondo Sports Clinique

West Crame Elementary School (WCES) is proud to announce its ongoing Taekwondo Sports Clinique, which began on April 1, 2023. This transformative program, made possible by the collaboration of Right Start Community Development Inc., led by Mr. Ding Pionso (Executive Director) and Ms. Pauline Garcia (Program Head), along with the active participation of the Sangguniang Kabataan, aimed to empower selected pupils from the school and pupils from Right Start through the practice of Taekwondo.

Led by the dedicated Sports Club Coordinator, Mr. Raymond B. Delos Santos, and supported by the Division Coordinator, Mr. Roy Dan R. Pido under the guidance of the new Principal, Ms. Ma. Hernanda R. Santos, the Taekwondo Sports Clinique is making a positive impact on the learners' physical fitness, discipline, and personal development.

Right Start Community Development Inc., under the guidance of Executive Director Ding Pionso and Program Head Pauline Garcia, contributes their expertise and resources to the program. Their commitment to youth development ensures that trained instructors and necessary training equipment are provided, enabling a rewarding and enriching experience for all participants.

The instructors of the Taekwondo Sports Clinique, Coach Reynaldo San Andres assisted by Ms. Zyra Lyn Rosadeńo and Mr. Joey Boy Biteng, bring their expertise and passion for Taekwondo to the training sessions every 1st and 3rd Saturday of the Month. With their guidance, the learners can learn the fundamentals of this ancient martial art while cultivating essential values such as discipline, perseverance, and respect.

The Sangguniang Kabataan led by Mr. Leonardo Custodio, SK Kagawad, actively supports and participates in the clinique, reflecting their dedication to promoting physical activities and fostering the overall well-being of young individuals in the community. Through this collaboration, the Taekwondo Sports Clinique creates a nurturing environment where participants can learn, grow, and thrive.

Selected pupils from WCES and participants from the Right Start have the unique opportunity to learn and train together. This diverse group of participants encourages camaraderie, cultural exchange, and healthy competition. Learners get to develop their Taekwondo skills and learn the importance of teamwork, respect, and sportsmanship.


The Taekwondo Sports Clinic at WCES is an ongoing program designed to instill lifelong values and skills in the participants. Through the practice of Taekwondo, students develop physical fitness, mental focus, discipline, and self-confidence. They learn to set goals, overcome challenges, and embrace a healthy and active lifestyle.
