TVL SHS Sets Up New Learning Resource Center Despite Facility Shortage
A fire that broke out at San Juan City Technical-Vocational and Livelihood Senior High School (TVL SHS) last November 2022 has left one building severely damaged and has forced the school to relocate its students and staff. However, the school has not let this setback to stop it from providing its students with the resources they need to learn.
As a result of the fire incident, San Juan City TVL Senior High School has set up a new learning resource center. The disaster did not stop the TVL senior high school in its commitment of providing the students with the best possible education.
"The new learning resource center is a valuable addition to our school," said Mrs. Maria Aileen Callorina, the former principal of TVL Senior High School. "No matter what happened, it will continue to provide our students with the resources they need to succeed in their studies."
The new learning resource center is a testament to the school's dedication to its students. It is a reminder that even in the face of adversity, it is possible to overcome challenges and provide a quality education.
While the school administration is currently working to rebuild the damaged building, in the meantime, the new learning resource center is providing students with a much-needed place to study and learn. The center is stocked with books, computers, and other resources that students can use to learn and grow.
Since the center has been set up, it has become a hit with students. They appreciate having a space where they can go to study, do research, and collaborate with their classmates.
The learning resource center is also being used by teachers in planning lessons, collaborating with other teachers, and developing new instructional materials. The learning center is also a good space for staff conferences, meetings, and school LAC (Learning Action Cell) sessions.
“I want a functional resource learning center that is vital in knowledge acquisition, research and skills development,” declared by Mr. Demie Atienza, the new school principal of San Juan City TVL Senior High School. He aims to improve the learning resource center by providing newer and updated computers and adding another section in the learning hub.
The new learning resource center is a valuable asset to the school. It is providing students and teachers with the resources they need to succeed.
Here are the benefits of the learning resource center. It provides students with access to a variety of resources such as books, magazines, computers, and other multimedia devices. It also offers a variety of services, such as tutoring, research assistance, career counseling, and consultation. Further, it is composed of committees of professional teachers who are dedicated to helping students learn and succeed.
The learning resource center is open to all students and staff, from morning at 8:00 until 4:00 in the afternoon. To access the center, students and staff must register their name in the logbook before availing the center’s service.
