Team SDO San Juan participates in the RMA

Random Manual Audit (RMA), is the process of examination to determine whether the automated count of the Vote Counting Machine (VCM) under Automated Election System (AES) is accurate based on a manual verification.

After another historical milestone for the 2022 National Election, selected SDO San Juan teaching and non- teaching staff were chosen to serve for the RMA. It was scheduled by batches for 7 days in a bubble held at the Diamond Hotel. It started last May 11 and will end on June 25, 2022.

The reading of votes was done by the chairman while the secretary and the third member computed and recorded in words and figures. The total number of votes obtained by each of the candidates like the President, Vice- President, Senators, Members of the House of Representatives and City Mayors in the audit returns and the tally boards would have to be compared with the Election Returns.

As per Commission on Elections (COMELEC) the RMA of votes maintained a 99.9% accuracy rate as more ballot boxes were checked.

It was indeed a long, difficult, and tedious job but the experience was worth the sacrifice knowing that the DepEd personnel have once again served the country.
