SDO San Juan Strengthens LRMDS Implementation

The Schools Division Office of San Juan City, through the Curriculum Implementation Division-Learning Resource Management Section (CID-LRMS), strengthens the LRMDS Implementation in the entire Division through varied activities, innovations, and projects.

Through the CID-Providing Optimum Learning Environment (POLE), the LRMS team provides technical assistance in their school LRMDS implementation which includes but not limited to library management, school LR portal, module updates, and other related activities. Since February 14, the CID-LRMS team visited San Juan ES, Salapan ES, Pedro Cruz ES, Pinaglabanan ES, San Perfecto ES and Nicanor ES. In the coming weeks, the entire CID team will visit schools for the continuation of the POLE.

Last February 23, 2023, the CID-LRMS team conducted a Coordination Meeting with the School LR Coordinator, Librarian/Teacher-Library-In-Charge and School ICT Coordinator at San Juan Elementary School. During the meeting, Dr. Domingo explained the initial results of the CID-POLE in San Juan ES and Salapan ES. Also, the upcoming programs and activities of the CID-LRMS team were explained and presented in the meeting. Moreover, the participants were able to visit the Reading Corners per grade level in San Juan ES.

One of the highlights of the LR Coordination Meeting was the presentation of Project GLIMPSE or Guiding Learning resource (LR) Implementers through Mass Promotion of their School’s Excellence. This project was envisioned by the proponents to strengthen the implementation of LRMS in the Schools Division of San Juan City highlighting the digital resources provided by the local and national government towards the efficiency of teaching and learning in all public schools of the city through mass promotion utilizing different media platforms. The objective of Project GLIMPSE is to provide an avenue to highlight the LRMS implementation of all the public schools of the Schools Division of San Juan City. Specifically, the project aims to: (1) create information advocacy materials to showcase the LRMS implementation of all the public schools of the Schools Division of San Juan City; (2) provide technical assistance in the development of information advocacy materials to showcase the LRMS implementation of all the public schools of the Schools Division of San Juan City; and (3) strengthen the implementation of LRMS in the Schools Division of San Juan City. The LR team plans also plans to publish SULYAP: The Official SDO San Juan LRMS Gazette come third quarter of this year.
