The 2023 NCR Kid & Kab Palaro was held on 14th day of October, 2023 at Pinaglabanan Elementary School, San Juan City. A total of more than 5000 Kab and Kid Scout participants and hundreds of Scout Leaders from different city councils took part in the event. The event commenced with the arrival of the Kab and Kid Scouts and Scout Leaders from the different councils in NCR at the Pinaglabanan Shrine where the city mayor Hon. Francis Zamora graced them with his presence at the opening ceremony. ‘’Masaya po nating tinanggap dito sa Lungsod ng San Juan ang mahigit 5,000 Kid, Kab at Boy scouts mula sa buong National Capital Region!  Nakakatuwang makita ang mga guro, magulang at mga opisyal mula sa Boy Scouts of the Philippines at DepEd na nagkakaisa para sa espesyal na gawaing ito. Maraming salamat sa pagpili ninyo sa San Juan na pagdausan ng NCR Kid at Kab Scouts Palaro 2023,’’ said by the city mayor in his Facebook post.

the Kids and Kab Scouts proceeded to their respective stations along with their scout leaders to try the fun and physically challenging Filipino games prepared by the city councils from different divisions in NCR.

Before the event, various committees were constituted to ensure the safety and order of one of the massive events held in San Juan City. Moreover, the program chairman Dr. Leonardo P. Dagum, Jr., Education Program Supervisor of the host division carefully pre-arranged and planned the activities where each base had two city councils assigned and would use a base card with the stamp or signature of the activity base commander. The activity base card was one (1) per color group. There were nine (9) bases to be completed:

Base 1 (Pateros & Marikina Councils): Piko

Base 2 (Manila & Quezon City Councils): Pasahan bola.

Base 3 (Paranaque and Pasay Councils): Sack Race

Base 4 (Mandaluyong & Muntinlupa Councils): Tumbang Preso

Base 5 (Pasig and Taguig Councils): Luksong Tinik

Base 6 (Valenzuela and Caloocan Councils): Touch Ball

Base 7 (Makati Council & Las Pinas Associate Council): Kadang Kadang

Base 8 (Malabon and Navotas Councils): Shoot That Ball

Base 9 (San Juan City Council): Obstacle

The palaro was a great and fun opportunity for the Kid and Kab Scouts to remember how it is like to join annual events in the Scouting Movement. ‘’As a Kid scout leader, I was really happy to see so many kids participating in the larong Pinoy. It's important for them, scouts, to learn about the Filipino culture and traditions, and the Palarong Pinoy was a great way to do that,’’ said by the scout leader from the San Juan Council in Filipino.

Accommodating and assisting thousands of young scouters and their scout leaders from various city councils in NCR was indeed tiring but a pleasurable opportunity for the different committees involved. While there were a number of things to be improved and be given thorough attention, it could still be considered a success.

The City Council of San Juan learned new things, so did the participants. They learned new skills, made a few friends, and had fun with Filipino games which contributed a lot to their emotional, physical, and mental well-being.

The following were the instituted committees and chairmen who helped mount the event:
