PINAGLABANAN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLCOMMENCES ITS FIRST NATIONAL LEARNING CAMP
The Department of Education (DepEd) recently launched its first-ever National Learning Camp (NLC), an event that sought to provide an alternative platform for students to continue learning. The theme, "Learning Continuity: Moving Forward Through the New Normal," brought together teachers and students to engage in various activities that promote holistic learning.
While on vacation, learners could take advantage of the opportunity to learn. The NLC is a decisive effort to help overcome the difficulties with learning continuity brought about by the pandemic. It intends to give students another way to carry on their education. It was one of several efforts of the MATATAG Agenda as the nation struggles to deal with the challenges brought by the pandemic.
Despite the difficulties the Philippines' education system faces, programs like the NLC, offer encouragement and optimism that education can go on even after the pandemic. It is an indication of how adaptable and inventive the Filipino people are, who keep finding new ways to overcome difficulties and adjust to changing circumstances.
Week 3 of PES NLC has ended, and the learners are learning while having fun. Even on vacation, students come to have fun and learn. The PES NLC exercises are still going on, and hopefully, these will have a positive effect on the participants and better prepare them for the upcoming school year.
