MR. MONILLA WINS 5TH CONSECUTIVE AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING COACHING
Who would have thought that San Juan City Academic Senior High School would bag 134 medals in Mathematics and Science in less than a year and be recognized as a Multi- Awarded Top Performing School? The man behind this incredible success is Mr. Adrian P. Monilla. His school-based innovation, entitled "SHS MOTP-Online," garnered a 100% winning rate in various competitions the school joined.
Mr. Monilla has been recognized as an Outstanding Teacher-Coach for his exceptional coaching skills not once but five times by the Mathematical Training League Inc, a testament to his excellence and dedication to the development of young mathematical and science talents.
When asked about his secret to success, he said, "My secrets to success are hard work, dedication, patience, and self-love." He elaborated, "By working hard and practicing the skills you need to accomplish, being successful is about doing your best. Being victorious does not mean you should stop working because if you want to be victorious throughout your life, you need to work more each day and strive towards your goal. When you have self-love, you understand your value and lovingly treat yourself. There is nothing wrong with putting yourself first; when you learn to love yourself, the love within yourself will overflow to you; those that abound can share with others, not a little, maybe even more overflowing love".
Mr, Monilla truly embodies positive coaching; he then added that his success is in great collaboration with his three leaders in San Juan, " I am proud to be led forward by a person who is not only industry-renowned but is also an amazing OIC-Principal, Dr. Rina Angeles; I can only hope to be half of the person she is someday. It is a privilege to work under her leadership. I sincerely thanked her for giving me the opportunity to work on such an innovative project. Her support and advice have helped me reach where I am today, and I promise to honor her belief in me by giving my absolute 100% and doing great work! I am also genuinely honored by the immense support of my Education Program Supervisor, Ms. Helen Acedo, for continuously challenging me for the best. Last but not the least is Dr. Cecille G. Carandang, our former Superintendent, for her motherly guidance."
