LR Coors, Librarians and Teacher-Librarians Elect SDO-LERLIT Assoc Officers

Different School Learning Resource Coordinators, Teacher-Librarians and Librarians of SDO-San Juan elected the first set of officers of the SDO-San Juan Learning Resource Coordinators, Librarians and Teacher-Librarians Association (SDO-LERLIT Assoc.) last October 7, 2019 at the San Juan National High School Library.

A meeting was called by the Division LR team with all School Learning Resource Coordinators, Teacher-Librarians and Librarians in order to discuss the following: (1)Update on the activities done by the school in line with the First Division Search for the Most Functional Learning Resource Center; (2) Election of the first set of officers of Learning Resource Coordinators, Librarian and Teacher-Librarians of SDO-San Juan; (3) Submission of School Learning Resource Plan and (4) Submission School LR Inventory.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the election of the first set of officers of SDO-San Juan Learning Resource Coordinators, Librarians and Teacher-Librarians Association (SDO-LERLIT Assoc). The elected officers are the following: President-Magdalena S. Rosopa (Pinaglabanan ES), Vice President- Basilia S. Torres (Kabayanan ES), Secretary- Susan L. Gohil (Salapan ES), Treasurer- Maria Josephine M. Oxida (Sta. Lucia ES), Auditor- Gideon O. Bautista (Pedro Cruz ES), Business Manager- Ma. Christina Brisuela (san Juan ES), Elementary Coordinator- Arlene Joy Rogel (San Perfecto ES) and Secondary Coordinator- Juvi Flestado (San Juan National High School).

The organization envisions to strengthen the Learning Resource Management System of SDO-San Juan by providing activities and programs towards the development of contextualized instructional materials for San Juaneños and to scout and hone teachers with skills and capabilities in LR development. Furthermore, the officers are expected to closely monitor the implementation of Learning Resource Management System in their respective schools.

The meeting was attended by 20 Learning Resource Coordinators, Teacher-Librarians and Librarians. The meeting was facilitated by the Division LR Team composed of Dr. Jonas Feliciano C. Domingo, EPS-LRMDS, Miss Vilma Padilla, LRMS Librarian II and Michael Rull, Project Development Officer II.
