PCES celebrates its stunning comeback as Wattah Wattah’s Inter-Elementary Streetdance Champion

Pedro Cruz Elementary School (PCES) streetdancers rejoiced in its uplifting comeback as it emerged as Champion in the 16th Wattah Wattah Inter-elementary streetdance competition after its lag last year placing third for the first time in six years.


“It has been our prayer to bring home the glory once again to Pedro Cruz. We thank God we did it. This time, we won’t let the title go,” remarked Mrs. Charina O. Parangat with a proud smile being the school’s Wattah Wattah Coordinator.


[endif]--The Master Teacher in-charge also recalled the great contribution of the trainer, Paul Aaron Matanguihan, videographer, Jefrey Lubao, assistants, Miguel Berdijo and John Carlo Dofredo, the PCES faculty and staff, parents, and barangay officials. ![endif]--


“We stayed up until 2 in the morning just to finish all the necessary props and costumes. It is very heart-warming that we never ran out of food, money and manpower until the day of presentation came,” commented by Mrs. Fe U. Golosinda, the GPTA President.




Aside from the P100,000 cash prize as champion, the school also snatched the “Most Festive” and “Best in costume” awards both with a P 10,000 cash reward.


“We have many plans to reward all the participants for the job well done. It will be a grand celebration for them, including the parents, teachers, sponsors, and for everyone who extended their time, effort, and resources to ensure our victory,” disclosed the school principal, Juphet A. Capuyan, in an interview.


Tracing its 6-year history of achievements, PCES ranked 2nd runner-up in 2018, Champion in 2016 and 2017, 1st runner-up in 2015 and Champion in 2013 and 2014.


[endif]--Other winners in the 16th Wattah Wattah streetdance competition were Salapan Elementary School, 1st runner-up, and Kabayanan Elementary School, 2nd runner-up, winning P75,000.00 and P 50, 000.00 respectively. ![endif]--
