Metro Manila East Council Conducts Crew Leaders’ Training Course and Patrol Leaders’ Training Course
A total of 168 participants from Marikina and San Juan City attended the 3-day Crew Leaders’ Training Course and Patrol Leaders’ Training Course of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines which was held in Marikina Elementary School, Marikina City last September 21-23, 2018.
This is a yearly activity with the aim of contributing to the holistic development of elementary and high school students through scouting and to the formation and producing selfless, dependable and most of all, God-fearing leaders and citizens of our society in the years to come. This is also in preparation for the coming NCR Jamboree to be held in Mt. Makiling in Los Baños, Laguna on October 22-26, 2018.
Scouter Roy Dan R. Pido, a training Course Leader in the CLTC, reminded each participant the importance of attending such activity. “This will make you a good leader at the same time, when you go back to your respective school, you will be a role model to other students by showing to them what a true scout is”, he said during the opening ceremony of the training course.
Both training courses turned into success through the help of other scouters who served as discussants and support staff. In the CLTC, they are Scouters Roberto Furanza, Stanley Manaoag, Domingo C. Bruno Jr., Arniel Lago and Mark Anthony Lacson who also served as Scribe for the whole course while Scouters Reynante Alba, Vera Marie Pascual, Esterlita Seguan from San Juan City helped in the smooth flow of the PLTC.
