SJNHS – Senior High School Amasses Multiple Accomplishments


February, the month of love, has brought much fun and accomplishments to San Juan National High School – Senior High. Despite the hectic schedule, the senior high school students were able to come up with fun activities in celebration of the Valentine’s day.

The program started with the serenades from John Patrick P. Moico of GAS B and Daphne Macinas of GAS A followed by the performances of The Valentino Luvrs (TVL boys) and STEM’s David & d’ Gwapings Band. In between songs and performances were dedications and expressions of endearments and sentiments to their loved ones, crushes and idols by the students as coordinated by the SayTeklabooM group (STEM). Everybody enjoyed the following fun-filled memorable activities prepared by each sections, namely:

Freedom Love Wall – Apol d’ Ups (GAS A)

Kasal-Sakal Booth – d’ Bablygams (GAS B)

Videoke Booth – Chixutes (GAS C)

Hugot Booth – Dsleepy Hollow[block]s (GAS D)

Larawan Booth – Echos Nyo (GAS E)

Para Syo Awit N2 Booth – Say TekEklabuM (STEM)

Bulagaang Date – AkoBossMo (ABM)

The activity was prepared and coordinated by SHS’ ABM teacher, Ms. Evelyn S. Plaza in collaboration with some selected students from ABM, GAS A and STEM.

Meanwhile, last 24 February, all Senior High School students together with the faculty conducted a cosplay parade. This is a kickoff activity for the promotion of the San Juan National High School – Senior High School academic tracks offered for this coming SY 2017 – 2018. At the same time, while students enjoyed parading their costumes around Bgy. Corazon de Jesus, they also distributed school’s flyers to the spectators of the parade.

The cosplay parade was planned and coordinated by the SHS’ Language teacher and Enrolment Committee Coordinator, Ms. Elvira de Asis.

Furthermore, the senior high school’s Arnis Club brought pride and honor to the love month. Charlie L. Mingoy, Jr. of TVL strand won Bronze award in the recently concluded NCR Palaro 2017 held last 13 – 18 February in Marikina Elementary School. Thanks to the endless effort of their mentor and coach, Ms. Edna Arceta, Filipino Teacher.
