Accomplishment Report in Science Calendar Year 2015
January 22
Intervention for the NAT - in preparation for the NAT, the EPS in Science constructed 20 items test parallel to the questions given in NAT. It was administered in all the public elementary schools in the Division from January 27 to February 4, 2015.
February 7
12th National Science Fair was held at Pasig Elementary School. Three (3) participants from the Division of San Juan who were winners in the Regional Science Fair qualified to join the event. Ms. Belinda P. Guevarra, a Grade 6 teacher in Pinaglabanan E.S. won 2nd Place in the Strategic Intervention materials for Grade 6 while Myara Eugenio, Grade 9 of Tabernacle Of Faith Christian Academy emerged as 7th Place in the Science Quiz for Grade 9. The Division EPS in Science served as Board of Judges in Sim Competition.
February 24
Coordinated the Head Teachers of San Juan National High School in the administration of the entrance test to the Special Science Class Grade 7.The Special Science Class at San Juan National High School is on its 3rd year of implementation. For the S.Y. 2015- 2016, Grade 7 to 9 have Special Science Classes with 2 sections in each grade level.

Awarding of Best Enviro- Kidz, Best Enviro- Kidz Adviser and Best Implementer of Enviro-Kidz School at the San Juan City Hall during the Flag Raising Ceremony. Kabayanan E. S.

Environmental Activities in the Division. The EPS in Science was designated as the focal person. Coordinated the Zumba- dance and Fun-run participants from the Division.
April 20-26
National Training of Trainers in Grade 10. The EPS in Science attended seminar on the implementation of K to 12 Science in Grade 10 at U.P. Diliman. The participants were capacitated with the contents of the K to 12 Science in Grade 10.
May 4-10
NCR Mass Training of Grade 10 Science Teachers on K to 12. The EPS in Science served as trainer to Grade 10 Science teachers in the implementation of K to 12. The training was held at Emilio Aguinaldo College. The Grade 10 Science teachers of San Juan National High School had their training at PNU.
May 10-16
Division K to 12 Training of Grade IV Teachers. The Training was held at Cuidad Christhia, San Mateo Rizal.
EPS in Science served as Speaker-lecturer in Science. The teachers were guided on how to use the Teachers Guide and learners guide. They were also familiarized with the competencies in Grade IV Science.

Five-day Live-in nationwide Training on Continuous Improvement (C I) Program. The seminar was held at the national Educators Academy of the Philippines-NCR Region, Cepeda St. Concepcion, Marikina City. This training aims for the participants to gain needed knowledge, attitude, values and skills; acquire full understanding on the full implementation of the C. I. program.

September 17
2015 Division Science Fair. The fair which is held every Science Month, September, starts at the school level where all schools have their fair. The event is consist of contest in quiz, poster, science booth, and Lakambini and Ginoong Kalikasan. The winners in the school level compete in the Division level. 2015 Division Science Fair was participated by both public and private schools. In the Secondary level, Xavier School emerged as the Champion, while the champion in the elementary level was Kabayanan Elementary School.

Science Teachers enhancement Seminar. The seminar aims to strengthen teachers’ competencies and strategies in teaching the least mastered competencies in Science. Topics in different Science levels were also identified where environmental awareness can be integrated and they were taught how to make SIM. They were also familiarized on how to use laboratory equipment as well as its function.

Training of Trainers for the Skills Enhancement of Teachers’ Teaching Strategies and Assessment. The EPS in Science served as resource speaker on the topic; Designing Teaching-Learning Matrix. The participants in the training are the Master Teachers who will in turn serve as trainer to the teachers.

Regional Science Fair for Secondary. The Fair was held at the Valenzuela City Math and Science High School.
Michael Ng, a Grade 9 student of Xavier Academy won 3rd Place in the Science Quiz
November 27
Regional Science Quest in Elementary. The contest was held at Jose Rizal Elementary School. EPS in Science served as Chairman in the SIM contest for Grade 3 teachers. Ms. Belinda P. Guevarra won 3rd Plsce in GRADE 5 sim.
