WCES Intramurals 2023:A Celebration of Sportsmanship and Skill


West Crame Elementary School (WCES) recently concluded its 1st School Intramurals 2023 with thrilling Championship Games in basketball, chess, volleyball, and badminton. Pupils, teachers, and staff, participated in the activity together in a show of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and competitive spirit. As the event reached its climax, the deserving athletes were honored with trophies, medals, and certificates. The generous cash prize was made possible through the sponsorship of the Barangay West Crame Council, under the leadership of Barangay Captain Marcelino Trinidad.

In the basketball events, Team Red emerged as the champions, showcasing exceptional teamwork and skill. The talented team members are:

The volleyball tournament witnessed intense matches, but Team Raven emerged as the champions. They are:

6. Cataleya Sofie Balena

7. Kristoff Chavez

8. Abdulwajeed Salic


In the strategic game of chess, Karl Gabriel Taopa emerged as the champion, displaying exceptional skills and strategic thinking. Xian James Taopa secured the First Runner-Up position, followed by Sean Gabriel Reyes as the Second Runner-Up, and Farhan James Toma as the Third Runner-Up.

The badminton tournaments were a testament to agility and precision. In the singles category, Benj Marion Altavano demonstrated exceptional skill and emerged as the champion. Solenn Del Carmen showcased her talent and secured the First Runner-Up position, while Allyna Castro and Kiel Elidan displayed commendable performances, earning the Second and Third Runner-Up positions, respectively.

In the doubles category of badminton, the team of Carl Martin Atendido and Zeian Philip Cahilig emerged as the champions, displaying remarkable teamwork and coordination. Christhart Manuel and Rylai Olazo showcased excellent skills and earned the First Runner-Up position.

The School Intramurals 2023 at West Crame Elementary School was a celebration of sportsmanship, skill, and teamwork. The dedication and passion displayed by the athletes were truly commendable. The event would not have been possible without the generous support of Barangay Captain Marcelino Trinidad and the collective efforts of the school administration, teachers, and staff.
