LGU San Juan and SDO San Juan - A Solid Partnership that Forges another Milestone in Preparation for

“Unity in Diversity”

This was exactly the words of the ever-supportive city mayor Hon. Guia G. Gomez as she addresses the DepEd officials and other stakeholders during the Turn-over Ceremony of instructional materials, office supplies and other things needed for the opening of classes especially the launching of the annual DepEd Brigada Eskwela for school year 2018-2019 last May 24, 2018 at Pinaglabanan Elementary School Covered Court.

The local government of San Juan City, through the initiative of the local school board, has once again spearheaded the idea of “Bayanihan sa San Juan” by providing the much-needed school and office supplies for teachers and students on top of the numerous materials necessary for the launching of the Brigada Eskwela slated a week before the opening of classes on June 04, 2018.

Dr. Joel T. Torrecampo, OIC Schools Division Superintendent of SDO San Juan, together with the parents, teachers and other stakeholders, gladly received the said materials with a solemn promise of utilizing the very purpose for which the materials were intended – to equip, enhance and beautify the schools for a SOLID SAN JUAN in fostering education for the benefit of the city’s learners. Dr. Torrecampo stressed the value of the dictum “Alone, we can do little; Together, we can do so much” when he used a single piece of walis ting-ting and broke it easily. And with a bundle of sticks, it was too difficult to break. This simple illustration has powerfully shown the partnership we have with the LGU, DepEd officials, parents and other stakeholders in the delivery of basic services through meaningful and lasting educational experience here in the city.

The odds may be hard to come by in the realm of educating all our constituents’ children. But given the solid partnership of San Juan LGU and DepEd SDO San Juan City, the city will soon be a beacon of educational excellence in the country.
